Before he destroyed his career with violence toward women, I thought Julio Urias was a very solid contender to win 300 games. He has not pitched at all since he was 26, but he had already amassed 60 wins by that time. In his final three seasons, he won 48 games.
For comparison, Rich Hill is 44, has pitched in 20 major league seasons, and has 90 wins.

What? I mean MAYBE he was on track mathematically but at age 26 I don't think you can possibly make a meaningful projection about career wins for any pitcher. Agree he had tremendous stuff and potential, but IMO it was too early to call him a "very solid contender" for 300 wins. Either way, awful trajectory he took.
