Funny story from a National years ago. I had a bunch of solid prewar cards i was looking to sell or consign. I approached a certain snively, weasely NY dealer we all know and loathe. He offered a cash price, I said OK, and he pulled out his checkbook. I said WTF are you doing? His reply was classic: "If I spend my buying cash now I won't have it later if I need it to buy something." Need it to buy something later? What are we doing now? Umm, unclear on the concept of 'buying', buddy?
I moved on.
