Default 1954 Topps Vault File Copy Ed Mathews BVG

In the golden era, Topps would pull two of each card shortly after production to include in their vault. The vault consisted of binders where each card, front/back, were pasted onto cardboard. Topps opened their vault in the early 2000s (not sure). Luckily, with the older sets, they were able to remove some of the cards without much damage apart from staining from the glue. BVG was hired to authenticate and encapsulate.

This 54 Mathews survived in super condition - factory sharp corners, no ceases and very white borders. The glue stain is on the front, but the back is perfectly clean.

This is the 2/2 card. I have been looking but I haven’t seen the 1/2 card. Maybe it was damaged during removal?

$419 shipped
