Hi Tim - You could look into airbrush Masking Film/Frisket instead of vinyl if you're using it for masking. It's adhesive (but very easy to remove) so you won't get overspray under the edges. And it's semi-transparent so you can see where you need to cut relative to what's around it. Comes in several different widths and roll sizes. It's available from Amazon from several vendors.
