Not fair and we voted to not allow this which passed 11-1. or can he be drafted twice.....once as a pitcher and once as a hitter? If you join the league, there is an active vote you can vote on for Ohtani. It’s either draft him and declare how he will be for entire season or make Ohtani 2 players as each a batter and pitcher. Last year it didn’t matter as he didn’t pitch.
How is position eligibility determined? Strictly by the CBS site? Or can a player that CBS shows only at Second base but projected to be the starter at Shortstop be eligible at SS. We go by CBS positions, but we have it set where they qualify for that position with only 5 games played and not 20 which some leagues do…. That’s for both the draft and regular season.
What is the minimum number of games for eligibility? 5
What is the number of hitters and pitchers? How many Starting Pitchers, and how many closers? 14 batters and 10 pitchers…. 4 bench used any way. Our roster requirements says you must have every position filled and for pitchers it’s anywhere from 10-14 depending on how you use your bench. Plus we only allow up to 5 true relief pitchers in your team. We go by what their active role is for the club since nowadays most pitchers have dual eligibility. We have an innings minimum as well of 1250 and batting 3500 as we make sure we don’t have any owners “buck the system” With questionable tactics.
Are the outfielders at any OF position? Or do they need to be Left / Center / and Right? Just OF and we start 5 of them. An outfielder is an outfielder.
What is the trade policy? What if 2 friends decide to make a lopsided trade. Is there a commissioner that can veto a trade? What if the Commissioner is one making a questionable trade? Is there a panel of owners that can vote a trade down? Great question which we solved over a decade ago.. even though we are a trading league, we don’t see many trades. What you are referring to is the dreaded collusion word which will destroy a league quicker than quick. We have one day voting and if 3 or less vetoes the trade passes. If a 4th veto then we use roto umpire (a paid unbiased site) to make the final ruling. 5 vetoes and the trade is dead and gone. The league has many veteran owners who have a lot of experience and they are all good people. We don’t have any alignances as we all want to kick each other’s butt and we the total of Legends Champion. Owners have come from net54, blowout, word of mouth, and other leagues. Most owners are in different states.
How is prize money distributed? I use cash app, or PayPal. Payout I do normally the day after regular season is over unless there is a make up game. We do not count play in games as that would be unfair. We also have a league constitution that has all this in writ8ng and easy to refer to. Love the questions and I can tell you know fantasy…. Other detailed info is we allow the owner from first to worst to choose their draft spot. New owners will be determined by a coin flip done by the co commissioner of the league on video and sent out on the league group text. He is a Pastor and one heck of a good team owner. Also, if a commissioners team or co commissioners team is involved then we can have other members be involved for any ruling. We make this league hard but fair and try to be the Masters of Fantasy but without breaking the bank like the NFBC leagues would do.
Thanks again,
Bob
