Over on the 1980 and older page I recently completed an overview of Dynamite Magazine Topps panel inserts from 1974-1986.

Someone alerted me to the fact that another Scholastic mag, Hot Dog!, also included panels in the 1980s.

On this thread I will post results of some research as to what cards were actually included.

First, copies of Hot Dog! seem to have survived only as a mere fraction of the total of their Dynamite Magazine contemporaries. Therefore, there may be other issues than those I will post about here that contain panels.

Second, while Dynamite has a wikipedia page documenting its issues and some fan pages, I haven't been able to find anything like that for Hot Dog!.

Also, if anyone knows of other editions that contain cards, or other panels in the editions I discuss here please let me know.

Hot Dog! issue #8 from 1981 featured the Dukes of Hazard on the cover.
