Two outstanding Boston-area bands. Lots of people consider those two shoegaze but they were more the indie rock realm for me (which is an unpopular opinion). Absolutely love early-90s UK shoegaze including Lush, MBV, Ride, Cocteaus, JAMC and a billion more. Madchester is pretty cool for me but a little too much funk and not enough overdrive
Still liked some of the bands including Stone Roses (first album only), Charlatans, Happy Mondays, Soup Dragons, etc.
