Default Random Heirloom Passed Down

My mother surprised the family last night and gave away a couple of items to family members. She gave me the Tetlan Indian War Club, which has been used to shake at kids and tell them to straighten up. It was a shock, and my sisters face was a blank stare. I have the youngest kids, so my mom gave it to me to shake at my kids. My grandmother also has her own children's poem telling us to straighten up...
Mrs Moore is awfully mean
She washed little kids in the washing machine
When they came out nice and clean
She put them in the dryer to dry
O me! O my!
Toasted tots for breakfast!

I have a great uncle, a bachelor for life, who traveled the world building landing strips. He always brought home gifts for my grandmother. They were an Evanston Illinois family that moved everywhere else due to WW2. My mom has two origin stories. 1) He brought it back from a trip. 2) He came to visit and made it himself when she and her brother were unruly.

Anyone else have unusual items they received.
