If there are 71 Pink examples, I have never seen them and would love to.
Numerous items I have read, even in the Tom Holster Checklist Book only refers to a pink 70 Traffic Safety Set.
Re-reading this sheet from Tom's book has me rethinking the timeline of events.
I will post that in a separate thread shortly. Timelines and card colors are not lining up....
Nelson's first Senators game in 70 was 6 April. He was sent to 'AAA' on the 8th of June and returned the 10th of September.
Rodriguez's first Senators game in 70 was 27 April after the trade from Los Angeles.
So apparently Nelson was first on the Pink set and the Yellow set and then Rodriguez was added to the second printing of the yellow set and replaced Nelson in that group.
I believe that the Rodriguez card is more scarce than the Nelson Pink and Yellow versions. Although that is not how Tom has it documented. I guess it all depends on when they all were printed during the year.
Regards,
Butch Turner
