Thanks to Bocca for making this available to me. He found himself an upgrade, which I hope we'll see soon. I'm not really a "condition guy" to the extent some of you are, but the condition of this gave me pause. Bocca thinks, and I agree, it may have been stored for a long time under a black pennant. In the end, I bought it because there have only been three of these seen. The more common (but by no means common) version has no white paint. These are one of only two varieties of Giants pennants which show Seals Stadium (1958-59).
Question for Kyle - wouldn't the white paint necessitate an entirely different screen than the all black graphics? The all black I've shown is the "fat font." I also have one with the same font as my new acquisition.
Question for you other guys - any cleaning tips at all? I tried a few things. I dipped the tip in some
mild soapy water and the water immediately turned orange. When I blotted it on a white towel, it left an orange triangle. I think I'm gonna have to live with it.
