I loved them from that point on. Just this year finished the baseball players in that set and now will slowly tackle W515s.
As an aside, I didn't want to open Pandora's box by starting to collect non-baseball strips... but I couldn't resist a W512 Charlie Chaplin at The National.

My dad is similar - he bought a W515-1 Ruth for a similar price in the early 70s.
I can't believe y'all could afford playing day Ruths either.
