I guess we'll find out how many vintage collectors there are if/when prices begin to fall. But on the other hand, with so much money that's been pushed into the economy, maybe the lack of huge increase in prices is a sign that things are reversing in trend.

For now, these auction catalogs are great eye candy. It's fun to go through them.
Outside of the giddy world of REA, prices actually have been dropping for most cards, as I am seeing it. I'm not sure there's an inexhaustible demand that will sustain prices at least for the commodity cards of the world, even the more desirable ones. Rare pre war will always do well.
