There has to be a big crowd to absorb all the new/shiny stuff or a smaller very rich subset of collectors that pay through the nose for those limited edition offerings.

I guess we'll find out how many vintage collectors there are if/when prices begin to fall. But on the other hand, with so much money that's been pushed into the economy, maybe the lack of huge increase in prices is a sign that things are reversing in trend.

For now, these auction catalogs are great eye candy. It's fun to go through them.
