Default CLOSED…1965 Topps 4th Series Lot…ends Mon, 11/25, 8PM MST

This weekend’s lot is a group of mid-series 1965 cards, highlighted by “The Monster,” Dick Radatz. Apparently, Mickey Mantle gave him the name, after struggling to hit off of him. Over the course of his career, Radatz faced Mantle 16 times, and struck him out 12 of them. He was the best reliever in the game for a few years, winning the Fireman Award in 1963 and 1964. Check out the stat line on the back of his card for the previous two seasons…31 wins as a reliever! He ended up in the Red Sox HOF, where he did his best pitching.

Just a buck bid to start, with whole dollar increments. Shipping is about $5-$6 (I'll get you a total after I pack them up). and there's my standard 10-minute rule at the close. The auction closes at 8PM MDT (Mountain Time), however a bid between 7:50-8:00 will extend it another ten minutes from the time of that bid, and any subsequent bid. Let me know if you have any questions.

Note on shipping: The USPS is really frustrating in that you have to ship as a Ground Advantage Package to get tracking, and to be able to protect the cards from the sorting machine, which is why it's so high. Since shipping is sometimes more than the winning bid, and since I get a lot of repeat buyers, I am happy to hold onto the cards as long as you want, to combine shipping on future wins. You just tell me when you want them, and I'll combine them, mail them, and give you the total. Most guys get 4-6 lots for the same $6 as one would cost.

Cheers,
Geno
