Default CLOSED...1968 Topps Lot of a Dozen Cards...ends Fri, 11/15, 8PM MST

This week's lot is a dozen 1968s for your binder! Being a Cubs fan a kid in the seventies, I always liked George Mitterwald. He didn't get to play a ton, catching behind Steve Swisher, but he had one game I'll never forget in 1974. That day, he hit three homers and a double, as the Cubs beat the Pirates, 19-9. Mitterwald drove in eight runs that day, and made this seven year old kid very happy for an afternoon. It turns out it was the last appearance for Steve Blass, getting shelled, as he was trying to regain his form. It wasn't to be, and he was down to Triple A, and then to a long career in the Pirates booth. Anyway, Mitterwald made the fans forget about his trade for long time favorite Randy Hundley that day, for sure.

Just a buck bid to start, with whole dollar increments. Shipping is about $5-$6 (I'll get you a total after I pack them up). and there's my standard 10-minute rule at the close. The auction closes at 8PM MDT (Mountain Time), however a bid between 7:50-8:00 will extend it another ten minutes from the time of that bid, and any subsequent bid. Let me know if you have any questions.

Note on shipping: The USPS is really frustrating in that you have to ship as a Ground Advantage Package to get tracking, and to be able to protect the cards from the sorting machine, which is why it's so high. Since shipping is sometimes more than the winning bid, and since I get a lot of repeat buyers, I am happy to hold onto the cards as long as you want, to combine shipping on future wins. You just tell me when you want them, and I'll combine them, mail them, and give you the total. Most guys get 4-6 lots for the same $6 as one would cost.

Cheers,
Geno
