SGC and PSA are the same company. If you wanted to spend the cash on it, then I'd probably go with a PSA slab.
Perhaps you could use the provenance of the collection you purchased as the proof of authenticity. I really hate the idea of giving JSA and PSA the final stamp of approval because if you know it's real, then why bother? Now if you can get a few hundred bucks extra (after fees), and the time and effort is worth it to you, then knock yourself out.
