I find it slightly weird that a company which has pretty much no integrity when it comes to the quality of the opinions it sells, seems to have such tough standards when it comes to potential new opinions to sell.

Yes, that's what is maddening about it. For example, with regard to some music cards they refused to grade, Trading Card Database (one of the great sites in the hobby IMO) and the website of the world's leading collector were not good enough. They wanted proof from 1971 of the original method of distribution. This from a company that has innumerable dates wrong. See Reccius Wagner.
