Channel 9 only came on if we were absolutely jonesing for baseball and the Yankees weren't already on. Channel 38 only came on if there was a pennant race in progress and we had to keep track on whether the Sox were losing or not.
No idea if those channels even exist anymore.

WPIX 11 still exists. It switched from Yankees to Mets some years ago but I believe still occassionally broadcasts Mets games when they aren't on SNY.
