That’s really nice that he did that, as I also have the 1965 Topps I did from a mail order a while back.
Compare that to Brian Bosworth, who apparently won’t sign his Boz Flunks Out cover from January 1987. I guess everyone is different.
I don’t know for sure, but maybe McLain feels some like Lolich better or because of how Lolich performed in the World Series, or that Lolich has a bobblehead in tribute to 1968, whereas McLain does not? I don’t know. It could be jealousy, but I’m only speculating.
