Very cool item. I obtained a WWII era base team photo (with ballplayers autographs on back) under pretense it was signed by James Hack Miller of the Detroit Tigers. It wasn't Hack's signature. But I kept the photo anyways to research the ballplayers. One such ballplayer and autograph present was that of long time South Dakota State University Baseball Coach Ervin Huether. That led to attempts to correspond with his family and families of some of the other base ballplayers pictured (and autographed). I was attempting to identify specifically which team and base. That project has now sat on the back burner for past 10 years or so. Might be time to knock the dust off and renew the correspondence.
