I picked up a pack of Conlon cards when they first came out, at a convince store near my house. I pulled a Shanty Hogan card. I've never heard of him before. I started a collection of vintage cards of Shanty Hogan cards that I could afford. Then I started collecting other players in any sport, who's first or last name was Hogan. I used to ask my wife before hand if I could spend our money on any card over $200.00 or more. She always said yes.
She said because it makes me happy.
God she was an amazing woman.
