Thanks to both Dave and Steve for your opinion. The All-Star non-selection of Rooker was horrible.

I don't really follow the Athletics, but I do follow Rooker. Last night he went 3 for 5. His stats are now at .301 Avg (8th), 35 HR (7th), 99 RBIs (6th), and .963 OPS (6th).

That's in all of baseball!

I almost never invest in modern players, Rooker was the exception because of his performance at Mississippi State and being selected as the 2017 National Player of the Year.

So I purchased several of his cards in 2017, and continued acquiring them while he was struggling through the Twins organization - and while he struggled through the Padres - etc. I was about to give up on him and then he was given a chance with the Athletics - POW - he finally got a chance to prove his talent.

I wish the Athletics much success and also Rooker. I just wonder if he had been traded to the Yankees this summer how he would be looked at. Yankee fans have never shown much love to anyone that wasn't brought up as Yankee (think Maris, etc).

Here are just a couple of his cards I have.
