If you haven't already, I would see if there is an image available of that 'A' card to see if it is obvious what caused it to be assessed that way.
It may be in godawful shape, or been trimmed down or have some other reason that led to it getting that particular grade (and not due to the narrow sizing).

But if it does look like yours, then that makes it a bit tricky to decide what to do next.
