1969 topps will be my next set!!!
Thank you for your support. Yes, I suppose I could, but at this point I'd have save for several months to purchase a 68 Ryan in good condition. Then, I would have to do the same for the Mantles, 68 Bench, and 69 Ryan. My early days of collecting, 1969-75, pecking away to get certain cards was pretty much the established manner of collecting. In fact, the only Baseball sets that I was able to complete were the 1974 and 1975 Topps and the 1964 60-card Giant series. However, it was fun as there was never any expectation to complete anything.

The difference now is the immediacy of being able to find cards through the Internet. Now, I want to get them out of the way, upgrading as I go along. Their monetary value has no concern, although I gulp at some of the asking prices.

What I have been able to do since early 2000, has easily surpassed my late 60s to mid-70s collection. Nothing here would qualify as a registry set and the 67-69 cards would range overall from fair to vg/ex. The 67 set is an attractive set and it would be nice to complete the low numbers. My main goal is to finish the 68 and 69 sets and see where I will go from there.

Thank you and happy collecting!
