I was never much of a fan of this set in 1972. In fact, I did not even collect it. I guess the freaky design grew on me over the years and now I kinda like it. The quality of the players in the set is enormous, with many '50s and '60s stars nearing the end of their career. Plus you get one of my all time favorite cards, #33 Billy Martin, "discreetly" giving the Topps cameraman the bird.
I did have some graded myself, however, they predominantly were picked up in slab form. All 8 or above.
