The Catalog Auction Houses are a better/more reputable place to buy and consign these days.

Unfortunately, not even with larger ebay sellers using the auction format can you count on paying the true market price. I won 3 1953 Topps PSA cards from a "larger" ebay seller at about 95-105% of comps. This seller subsequently canceled my transaction after I paid claiming a "technical error" had occurred. He then immediately relisted the 3 cards with higher starting bids including one at 50% of the comps.

So much for auction integrity on ebay even with larger, established sellers, but at least I was not shilled.

Apparently even larger sellers can experience "seller's remorse".
