Default SOLD: 1954 Topps Hockey Near-Set (59/60) - Very Nice (Color Added)

SOLD $995 delivered P/P F&F or Zelle

This is a really well cared for set. 59 of 60 cards are included, no Gordie Howe. Surfaces are fantastic with almost all the original gloss and only one card with a wrinkle, #6 Real Chevrefils. Corners do have touches, some dings, but really pretty mid-grade cards overall.

Previously, two cards from this set were submitted to TPGs and the Sawchuk came back from SGC as Color Added and the Howe (not included) came back from PSA as recolored.

I have looked over the cards very thoroughly and under various types of lighting and find no evidence of any intentional addition of color. The cards all have blue ink/print transfer (and some red) from the backs onto the fronts from incidental contact with other cards over the years.

I have high confidence these cards are not intentionally altered in any way but it’s absolutely possible that most, if not all, graders will notice this extra print (especially around the corners) and give a color added designation. I guess technically color was transferred by touching other cards, so...

I have provided extreme close-ups of the all corners, front and back, of the SGC encapsulated Terry Sawchuk so you can see the issue I’m referring to and how there does not appear to be any nefarious color touch-ups.

I will offer a full refund and pay for return shipping for up to 30 days if you inspect the cards and find any intentionally added color or other alterations beyond what I’m referring to, it’s just not there.

Check out the scans and pics and feel free to ask any questions. Thanks for looking.

Surfaces and gloss are really nice:
