While I can understand your perspective on having a thread like that, I think having one thread with all the same type of item for sale will very quickly become a pain to use. Scrolling through pages of stuff to find one item can become tedious quite quickly, imo. Also, I think if you are selling, the marketing effect and visibility of having a separate post Might outweigh any benefit of having them grouped.
On the other hand, if you only collect that one specific item, it would make it handy just to be able to go to one spot and not have to read other posts.
Anyway, just my 2¢. We'll see how the general board feels and uses it. I could wind up being very much wrong.
