I had to put my elderly Great Pyrenees-Anatolian down a couple months ago. No sympathy needed. He had a great run. I really want another Pyrenees, but we still have two large dogs in a small house and my wife is somewhat relieved that there isn't a coating of white hair on everything an hour after we've cleaned. So, it will be a few years before I can get another polar bear.

However, we have had an interesting visitor recently. Because we live in the country, there is a relative steady supply of stray/feral cats. All of our house cats and barn cats were once strays. Most we got as kittens when they are less wary of humans, but we domesticated one adult. So, we generally keep a bowl of cat food on our front porch and a game camera out to keep an eye on our visitors. Lately, we haven't had many cats and have been fattening up a couple raccoons. However, ever couple-three weeks we get this fellow visiting.
