For sale c1930's Indiana Sport Young Perez Jewish boxing HOF card. An amazing story of survival as shared by another Net54 board member:
"Born in Tunisia in 1911, at 19 Perez became the youngest world champion in history to that point when he beat Frankie Genaro for the flyweight title in 1931. A French citizen and Jewish, he was arrested in Paris in 1943 and deported to Auschwitz, where he was forced to participate in bouts for the amusement of the SS guards. He died on the forced march away from the camp after it was abandoned by the Nazis in January 1945."
