FS: Historic ticket. July 19, 1902---Philadelphia Phillies vs NY Giants at the Polo Grounds. This was the first game as New York Giants for John McGraw, Joe McGinnity, Roger Bresnahan, and Dan McGann. McGinnity pitched, Bresnahan caught, and McGann played first base. In his first game as NY Giants manager, John McGraw also started at shortstop. The Phillies won the game, but the Giants began a new era that would reshape and define New York and major league baseball for the next two decades.
