Maybe they wanted to update the image to reflect him in his Federal League uniform.
I am not too familiar with this set. I know the 1914 issue was only released in the Cracker Jack packages. Would the fact the Rollie got an updated card (#116) utilizing his Chicago Federal League uniform (instead of the White Sox uniform seen in his card # 60) perhaps indicate that Cracker Jack cards were issued in two separate series, perhaps 1 through 72, and then the cards 73 through 144 at a later date?
I have never heard of this before, but it does make sense to me. Anyone out there ready and capable of striking down this thought?
