Kind of like how it was in the chow line on USS Midway CV-41, cruising in circles off the Philippines back in 1983. The chow line was backed up into the hangar bay with airedales between launch and recovery events. I asked a Chief coming up the ladder from the main deck below, "Did you see what's for chow, Chief?"
