I have to admit I am an avid reader of The Spatula, and use it to keep my pharmaceutical knowledge sharp and current. For example, I now know that opiates such as opium, morphine and cocaine should not be administered to infants as a sleeping aid.

I will also not recommend giving an infant cocaine as a sleep aid.
