As an aside on this set, this is not one from my childhood ….I built and upgraded this set over the years when I was a lot older…..I was working on this set in ‘74 when my family moved from Long Island to Virginia Beach…..I was 12 years old…..there wasn’t a corner candy store I could drive my bike to to buy baseball cards anymore….there wasn’t good Italian food ( ugh ) or any good ethnic food for that matter…..my baseball card collecting came to a screeching halt! I was relegated to Slurpee Cup collecting at 7-11…..
Outside of the ‘70 set and the ‘78 set, this is probably my third favorite set from the 70s….love the clean design and Winnie was my guy for a long time until Donnie Baseball came along…
