Thanks! Here’s a bit I got from the son of the original collector:

Dad bought that card for pennies in the 70s because it was so beat up. And Newhouser signed at so many Detroit shows that my dad ran out of stuff for him to sign (he literally had 30 Newhouser autos) and thought, “Hell, might as well have him sign this beat up old Leaf.” It then sat in a binder for 40 years next to other random Detroit cards and I found it after he passed away.

He posted it on eBay raw in an auction then decided to take it down to grade it when I told him what he had. Then kept in touch with him while it graded and we worked out a private deal.
