Really cool 5 page letter from Hall of Famer Zack Wheat to his future wife. He wrote the letter on New York's Hotel St George stationary on April 13 1912. Talks about personal things and mentions his team winning that days game, although a bum ankle kept him from playing and would keep him out for a few more as well. He actually would play for one at bat the next day and then would not play again until a month later. So the ankle injury must have been fairly serious.
