How is Harry Pulliam still not in the Hall of Fame? It boggles my mind.

Anyway, this is a 4 1/4 by 5 inch type 1 photo of Harry Pulliam. Pulliam was, of course, a Pittsburgh Pirates executive who became President of the National League and helped to bring about peace between the two leagues and was instrumental in bringing about the concept of the World Series. Baseball does not look like it does today without him.

This is the definitive image of the man, used for almost every conceivable article and book written about him. It also has written on the back "Harry Pulliam who shot himself yesterday - Head of National League". Referring of course to his apparent suicide. An amazing and important image with a devastating hand written note on the reverse.
