Agreed. Probably just poor use of AI. I still think he got pretty good value, perhaps knowing that coming across as naive might elicit more bidding since eBayers might think they had stumbled across a “great deal”. I was certainly watching all of those lots, but chose to pass when the bidding became fervent.
The E104-1 lot was clearly the best of the bunch. They each had the same back stamp (“Swift”) from a discovery from several years back (2007?). I think REA had auctioned a few of them - or at least a Plank.
