JSA partnered with SGC for slabbed items for its first few years of being in existence, as they didn't (and still don't) have slabbing equipment of their own. Spence didn't authenticate/work for SGC. Later, they did the same thing with Beckett prior to Beckett forming their own autograph authentication division. And of course, SGC also had such a division for a time after the partnership with JSA ceased.
It's confounding that JSA still hasn't been bothered developing a slab of their own. Seems like they're just steering huge piles of money to their competitors as a result.

When I stated Jimmy Spence worked for SGC, I meant he was contracted by them for autograph authentication which is what he did for them and again later for Beckett before they stated their own authentication service.
He told me a year or so ago that he was looking at a slabbing service for JSA but so far it has not come to fruition.
