Most of the shops are overpriced, I would however reccomend checking out Yastrzemski's. It's owned by a father and son, though the son is there more often. It's a solid spot and reminds me a lot of an LCS back in the day. Baseball Nostalgia, was my favorite in the area, but has sadly closed, as the owners are enjoying a well deserved retirement.
The Hawkeye Bar and Grill in the Otesega Hotel is nice. Perfect for a drink or a meal. The Hotel itself is a sight to behold, it's where the players stay during Hall of Fame weekend. They have a wonderful golf course as well, if you are into golf. If you want more of an outdoor place for lunch, The Lake Front Resturant is nice too. In terms of breakfast, the Cooperstown Diner, is a joy, and very tiny, and Schneider's bakery has some of the best donuts you're going to eat. The Fly Creek Cider Mill is excellent too, just a touch outside of Cooperstown, though.
Check out Doubleday Field, even if there isn't a game being played, still nice to see the grounds. The Fenimore Art Museum, if you're into that as well.
Hope all that helps! Enjoy the trip, the Hall of Fame is a treat.
