As you mention jersey elimination would be kinda tough.
1950 would be the only "1950s" and don't believe that's it. So...thinking it's late 1940's

I think the answer maybe 1947. I don't know if this user has the correct year or not, but at least you can more of the Falstaff ad instead of just the bottom to help pin point.
