That really depends on you. A card that one collector considers "good" or "great" can leave another collector thoroughly unimpressed.
If you're merely looking for a blue-chip-investment-opportunity-with-the-potential-for-a-great-ROI, I'm sure others will chime in with a list of cards.
If you're looking to collect pre-war cards, it might be better to figure out what speaks to you before dropping a grand on something.
