I remember been in shock hearing the news the next morning. Roberto had led the Pirates to a World Series Championship and won WSMVP the year before. After earlier in the year suffering the heartbreak of the Reds scoring 2 in the bottom of the 9th to secure a comeback walk-off win in game 5 of the NLCS, this was a double gut punch. Here are some of my favorites.
