Agreed on the horrible signature. Seems like a niche piece of memorabilia. The value would seem to be in the history of the American flag during Tom Brady's playing days there and the fact he handled it and signed it seems like a nice additional bump. But, I don't think taking the auto grade from a "2" to a "1" would have a dramatic impact on the final hammer price. It is still an alleged "1 of 1" for what it is, with the added bonus of being previously displayed in the New England Hall of Fame. Not sure how you would legitimately establish damages on something like that, but then I am not an expert in value changes based on low grade autos of living figures who routinely produce 1000+ new signed pieces each year.
Maybe the guy can find an orphanage to sue next. Stick it to the other non-profits trying to spread goodwill.
