I think the question really boils down to where do you draw the line between a 1.0 and a 1.5. Are they both 1.0, but one is a little less beat up than the other one?

Does it matter that they’re over 100 years old so they should be graded on a different scale than modern cards? I’m pretty sure the answer is yes.

And maybe that’s the difference. I’m used to eagle-eyed posters around here being quick to point out all of the deficits on any given card that it’s easy to forget that for these cards, we can afford to be a little more forgiving.
