Of course, those on the other side of the argument would ask how any DNA could have survived the supposed alcohol soaking while in the hospital! Its antiseptic properties would have killed it all off!

+1 Agree the Museum did the right thing. Ideally the DNA test would be done if possible to authenticate it.
Regardless this info makes you pause and I would not want to bid on something that might not be as described (Regardless I am not a bidder)
