I am fairly pissed off at REA’s handling of the site issue. I stayed up to bid on an item until almost 2am this morning. When the site went down why did they have to go to a 20 minute countdown instead of the normal 10 minute one that was supposed to be used?
I am going to assume that the person I was bidding against was located possibly on the west coast because each time I was high bidder and the clock would get down to the last minute I would be out bid. I am confident that the bidder was using the time clock to their advantage because by waiting until the very last minute on the 20 minute clock to bid which kept the auction item going an additional hour longer than it normally would have if they would have been using the 10 minute clock.
I finally had to stop bidding and go to bed since I had to be at work 5 hours later. Being a Mountain or Pacific time zone bidder has a distinct advantage when auctions close so late like this especially when ending on a work night.
