In his sophomore year (1937 - St Louis Cardinals), Johnny Mize got 204 Hits, resulting in a tremendous .364 BA in
145 games.
Tremendous way to start off a Baseball career....of which he certainly had one. Johnny is one of my all-time favorite ballplayers.
I had the pleasure of visiting Big John at his home in Demorest, GA in 1986.
