FS: Cool 1913 Type 1 photo of Christy Mathewson with Christy jr. and famed early aviator Silas Christofferson. Taken during the Giants-White Sox World Tour, November 16, 1913. Matty had pitched the previous day, a 6-3 win over the Sox at Recreation Park in San Francisco. This would be his last game on the tour.
The photo comes from the Mathewson family and has Jane Mathewson's written note on the reverse. The photo comes with a xeroxed clipping of a listing from an auction (unknown AH) stating photo provenance is the Mathewson family by way of Barry Halper.
Photo size is approx. 3-1/4" x 5-1/2" (about postcard size). Condition is good with some minor edge wear.
